Vision Rehab

Rehabilitation for Brain Injury & Stroke

Vision rehabilitation is one of the most challenging and rewarding services of our practice. Those who have suffered a stroke, a vascular malfunction in the brain, head trauma, or other brain injury may experience double vision, loss of depth perception, and compromised visual acuity.

Vision rehab, also called neuro-optometric rehabilitation, typically includes a combination of exercises and specialized optical correction to improve muscular function, eliminate double vision, and retrain the brain on how to process visual information.

This subspecialty of our practice is spearheaded by Eye Care Associates’ Tom L. Morton O.D., who has worked closely with our area rehabilitation teams for more than 25 years to help brain injury victims successfully regain visual function and improved quality of life.
