Establishing the Optimal Contact Lens Fit

It starts with a thorough eye exam to ensure the most up-to-date prescription and rule out any pre-existing conditions that could interfere with contact lens wear.

If you are ready to improve your vision and your look with contacts, please visit us! Or if you have been told by other providers you can't successfully wear contacts because of your vision prescription, give us a try. We have the advanced testing, specialty contacts, and expertise to fit even the most complex vision problems. Most importantly, we are not satisfied with your vision and comfort until you are!

Fitting lenses to your lifestyle
We will determine the best fitting lens based on your lifestyle needs and the shape and health of your eyes. In most cases, you’ll have the opportunity to try lenses on the same day as your exam. You may even go home with a few diagnostic trial lenses before making a final decision.

Follow-up evaluations
Our South Bend and New Carlisle teams will follow up after the initial fitting and make any necessary changes in the fit, prescription or design to achieve the best possible result. We instruct our patients on the proper care and handling of their contact lenses as well as review the possible risks of improper care. We then schedule the appropriate follow-up and long-term care to assure your continued ocular health and success with contact lenses.

Our Contact Lens Services:

  • Thumbnail dispoasable
Disposable contact lenses are generally considered to be far superior in comfort and wearability than hard and rigid lenses.
  • Thumbnail contacts senior
Fortunately for those who don’t like the look, feel or inconvenience of reading glasses, there is another option. Bifocal and multifocal lenses are also available in contact lenses in both soft and rigid varieties.
  • Thumbnail contacts 3
These rigid lenses aren’t as popular or well-known as soft lenses, but they offer the advantages of durability, crisp vision and high oxygen permeability.
  • Teen Boy Contact Lens
At Eye Care Associates of Michiana, children who want to wear contact lenses go through a simple, three-step process.
  • Thumbnail contacts astig
“I can’t wear soft contacts; I have astigmatism.” This once-true statement is now simply a myth.
  • Thumbnail contacts 4
Challenges such as astigmatism, presbyopia, keratoconus and dry eyes needn’t be a barrier to contact lens wear, but they do require more time and patience.
  • Thumbnail contacts brands
We carry all of the top contact lens brands!
  • Finding Relief for Dry Eye Thumbnail
Corneal refractive therapy, or CRT, is a breakthrough lens therapy offered at our practice. It is an option for our nearsighted patients who would like to be free of daytime contact lens wear and glasses during their daily activities without having to undergo surgery.
